Content Description

This collections holds 84 black and white photographs of a voyage on the Hussar to the Galapagos Islands including photographs of Marjorie Merriweather Post, Nedenia and E.F. Hutton as well as other passengers and crew. The collection also holds photographs depicting an old navy tradition called the “crossing the line” ceremony, an initiation rite for those who have never crossed the equator.
