Scope and Contents
This collection contains architectural drawings related to the construction and renovation of Marjorie Merriweather Post's various properties owned over the course of her adult life.
Earliest drawings are of the apartments in New York City purchased in the late 1910s during her marriage to Edward B. Close. Subsequent plans are of properties in:
-Battle Creek, Michigan
-Hillwood, Long Island
-Camp Topridge in the Adirondacks
-Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida
-Hillwood in Washington, D.C.
The collection extends past Marjorie Post's life to include renovations to the Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens from the 1980s to the present day.

Conditions Governing Access
This collection is open for research. According to the Archives and Special Collections Policy, any institutional records are closed to public researchers for 25 years from the date of creation, unless they meet the following criteria for permanent restriction:
-Records which are restricted due to applicable federal or state privacy laws
-Legal communications
-Legal work product
-Other materials at the discretion of the HEMG Director and/or Head, Archives and Special Collections.
